SARC is proud to contribute to the SA USAR Taskforce's capability through the provision of well trained and professional Canine teams.

• SA USAR Task Force canine and handler screening process
• SA USAR Task Force Induction 

Fundamental Skills Acquisition
Trainee Level 1
Successful completion of:

• Canine and handler probationary skills assessment

Trainee Level 2
Successful completion of:

• Module 1 - Select and train canine and handler teams for USAR Operations: Incorporates PUASAR018A Select and maintain canines to be part of a canine search teams for USAR incidents, and PUASAR019A Train canines to work in a USAR environment.
• Module 2 - Develop canine and hander teams for USAR operations. Incorporates
• Develop a canine search team for USAR incidents (formerly fundamental skills assessment).

Operational Skills Development / Maintenance

• Annual fundamental skills maintenance program
• SA USAR Task Force Specialist Course: Incorporating PUASAR023A Participate in and urban search and rescue category 1
